Dr. Ruppert Hawes, MD

Dr. Ruppert A. Hawes, M.D., is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He has been an active member at the local and national levels of the American Academy of Family Physicians, as well as the National Medical Association. Dr. Hawes received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Denison University and he completed his Doctorate of Medicine at The Ohio State University College of Medicine.

Dr. Hawes then completed his residency at the Richland Memorial Hospital, University of South Carolina Family Medicine Residency Program in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Hawes completed a Fellowship in Academics and Obstetrics in the Department of Family Medicine at Highland Hospital, University of Rochester, in Rochester, New York. His career has been primarily focused on primary clinical care, Women’s Health, holistic wellness and medical weight loss.

He also has considerable experience in academic medicine, hospital medicine, telemedicine, executive/administrative medical affairs, utilization management, regulatory and governmental affairs as well as providing urgent care services.
