INTESTINAL PERMEABILITY (Leaky Gut)
What is Intestinal Permeability?
Intestinal Permeability (i.e. “Leaky Gut”) is a condition where the integrity of the intestinal cell barrier is compromised/broken down. Normally, our intestinal cell network forms a very important barrier between our digestive tract (outside environment) and our blood stream (inside environment). With Intestinal Permeability, the barrier is broken down and intestinal contents can enter the blood stream.
Why test for Intestinal Permeability?
Intestinal Permeability has many possible physiological ramifications. The purpose of testing for Intestinal Permeability is to accurately identify the root cause condition so your physician can recommend an intervention protocol.
What are symptoms of Intestinal Permeability?
Health conditions associated with untreated intestinal permeability are classified in 3 groups: Digestive, Systemic, and Autoimmune.
- Digestive: Inflammatory Bowel disease, IBS (gas. bloating, constipation reflux), and food sensitivities.
- Systemic: Depression, anxiety, migraine headaches, muscle pain, chronic fatigue, anxiety, mood swings, brain fog, and micronutrient deficiencies.
- Autoimmune: Celiac disease, rheumatoid arthritis, Type 1 Diabetes, asthma, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.
What causes Intestinal Permeability ?
- Refined sugar
- High starch diet
- Gluten in grains
- Casein in dairy
- Excessive stress
- Smoking tobacco
- NSAIDS (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
- Yeast overgrowth/Candida albicans
- Low gastric acid production

What Patients Would Benefit From The Vibrant Wheat Zoomer
Facts About Hormone Imbalances
Hormones are essential chemical messengers which regulate routine processes in the body. Hormone imbalances can affect a wide range of body functions including:
All of these can negatively affect quality of life and may increase the risk for hormone-related diseases, including hormone-sensitive cancers.
A comprehensive assessment of individual hormones would provide patterns- of imbalances in different hormones, while assessment of their metabolites-would provide beneficial information on affected downstream pathways. This would help to treat underlying causes of hormone imbalances and identify disease risks, associated with individual hormone metabolites.

What Are Micronutrients?
Micronutrients play an important role in energy production, hemoglobin synthesis, maintenance of bone health, adequate immune function, and protection of the body against oxidative stress and cellular damage. Micronutrients include vitamins, minerals, co-factors, amino acids, metabolites, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. These nutrients are found in small amounts in foods and are essential for human health.
Gut Zoomer 3.0
Facts About Microbiome Imbalance
Examining the entire ecosystem in the human gut can be challenging, but Vibrant Wellness has created a test that can measure hundreds of species of microbes at once, alongside functional markers of digestion and inflammation – providing the most comprehensive digestive health test on the market.
With over 170 species of bacteria measured, the Gut Zoomer can aid advanced practitioners in detecting root causes of acute or chronic illness that stem from the gastrointestinal tract, with correlations to disease states and health risks to guide primary and secondary interventions.
The Gut Zoomer also includes a robust panel of pathogenic bacteria, yeast, viruses, and parasites that are known to cause serious health concerns in humans.
